Trip to Paducah and National Quilt Museum

Monday and Tuesday, April 17 and 18, 2017, the Jessamine Piece Quilters ventured to Paducah, Kentucky and the National Quilt Museum.  We lunched at Patti’s 1180’s Settlement in Grand Rivers, Kentucky and spent a good part of Monday afternoon at Hancock’s of Paducah building our fabric stashes. Tuesday we visited the quilt museum in the morning, then lunch and hitting some more quilting and fabric stores.

Here are some photos … (feel free to email me more to beth@tibweb.com)

Wonky quilt!

We have now pieced our wonky house quilt, which we have named “There goes the neighborhood.”  Quilting and binding are still to come.  Raffle tickets will be sold for this quilt soon, with proceeds to sponsor a child at cancer camp.

The Jessamine Piece Quilters project for the past 12 years has been to send a child with cancer to a special camp called ” Indian Summer Camp”. Each year they make a special quilt and sell opportunities for it. The camp is located near Waddy Petonia ( between Frankfort and Louisville). If you are so inclined to help, the opportunities for buying tickets will be available soon. You can also just make a donation .
